Whe name refers to the pod or seed of the lotus flower.
The pod is a green, round, soft in the middle cushion with several round-like balls that are arranged in a circular pattern. Each of these seeds can become another lotus plant. We named it Lotuspod because within the 3 – hectare property in Bay, Laguna, there are as many opportunities to do fun stuff as there are seeds in that pod!
That started out as a backyard farm is still very much a backyard farm.
Over the years, we have enlarged the plots, added more veggies and welcomed visitors to Lotus Pod. We made up our minds early on that we wanted a veggie farm that was pesticide free. That meant organic and while we went into it not really knowing the many challenges of an organic farm, we are still learning little by little (literally week by week) how to make the veggies happy so they can give us that unique sweetness in their taste which tells us that we are doing it the way
nature planned it!
