History
The name Ein Zivan comes from the inspiration of a nearby village. The name implies a certain type of wheat. This small cottage type rural tourist place is situated about 960m above the sea level and the entire place is surrounded by picaresque nature views including oak trees, mountains, vineyards, wild animals, historical sites etc. The kibbutz of Ein Zivan was established in the year of 1968 by some volunteers from aboard and other kibbutzim. After three years of hard work, Ein Zivan became a part of the Israeli kibbutz. In the year of 1992, Ein Zivan tourism has declared as the first privatized kibbutz of Israel. In last few years, Ein Zivan tourism has experienced a large number of absorption of their members. In the year2005, stage A successfully conducted and Stage B started in 2008 and ended in the year of 2014. The final stage of the Kibbutz is now under process and it has expanded into the Alonim Forest that situated at the foothills of Mount Avital.
