Kurlender in Beit Hillel
The Kurlander farm was founded in 1951 by Levichi and Lili Korlander and their 3-year-old son Tommy, who arrived from Romania after World War II to Moshav Beit Hillel, which was still in its early stages of construction. The Jewish Agency that accompanied the settlers in the moshav gave them a pregnant cow and a half horse to start the journey. Three years later, the son of another son Zeev was born.
During the tour, the guests experience the cowshed work, milking the cows with their hands, as before, and helping to take the calves and carts from huge bottles
In the Kurlander farm alongside the dairy industry, organic fruits and pomegranates are also grown and organic olive oil is produced. At the visitors center you can taste our excellent organic olive oil and enjoy the fruits of the season.
