The Kurlander farm was founded in 1951 by Levichi and Lili Korlander and their 3-year-old son Tommy, who arrived from Romania after World War II to Moshav Beit Hillel, which was still in its early stages of construction. The Jewish Agency that accompanied the settlers in the moshav gave them a pregnant cow and a half horse to start the journey. Three years later, the son of another son Zeev was born.
