Farm 6 is one of the first and only farms to grow strawberries in the 1960s. Miriam and Moshe Nachshon, one of the founders of the kibbutz, lovingly raised strawberries, flowers and even cultivated a chicken coop.
The farm was transferred to their young son Ehud Nachshon, who has always shown great affinity and love for the economy and the land.
As a follower he developed and promoted the economy in a significant and appropriate manner, a small and domestic interface to a large and touristy economy.
Today, the farm specializes in the cultivation of selected, sweet and unique strawberries, which are irrigated with well water. In the farm, strawberry varieties are grown exclusively for the farm. Sweet varieties that do not grow in regular farms.
There are plots, for experimenting with varieties and further development of special varieties: almond, Tamar, angel, Ruthemy, lightning and more …
Our strawberries are harvested and sold at the right time, and are carefully sorted, in order to bring the customer high quality produce.
All our strawberry fields are grown under biological supervision and control !!!
In recent years, the economy has been open to families and groups to experience the fruit-picking of strawberries and flowers.
This year, 2015 we have organic strawberries – for direct purchase in the economy and for marketing!
The harvest season starts in December and ends at the end of May.
Birthdays and consolidation days can be held for kindergartens, classrooms and workplace
